Organization Workspaces
Workspaces
Manage the workspaces in your organization.
Open Settings -> Organization Settings -> Workspaces.
Catalog
The table lists every workspace with:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Workspace | Name and description |
| Members | People assigned to the workspace |
| Apps | Apps enabled for the workspace |
| Created on | When the workspace was created |
| Actions | Open, edit, or delete the workspace |
Search workspaces from the search box above the table.
Default workspace after sign-in
If you belong to more than one workspace, you can pin which workspace opens after you sign in. Set that default and keep landing there until you change it.
When you open another Enterprise account in a new tab, the current workspace context stays with that tab so the two sessions do not overwrite each other.
Create a workspace
- Click New Workspace.
- The dialog title is Create workspace: Set up a new workspace with a name, description, apps, and members.
Required and optional fields
| Field | Required | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Workspace name | Yes | docs-capture-reliability (letters, numbers, and hyphens) |
| Description | No | Docs capture workspace for SRE investigation examples. |
- Enter the Workspace name.
- Optionally enter a Description.
Configure apps
- Review the apps list. Aiden Chat is always enabled and cannot be turned off.
- Click Add more apps to open the app picker and enable additional apps (for example Aiden SRE or Aiden DevOps) for this workspace.
- Close the app picker when your selection is ready. Selected apps are enabled when the workspace is created.
Members
- Use Search and add organization members to find people already in the organization.
- Add each person and set their workspace role (for example Workspace Admin or Workspace User).
- The creator is included as a member by default.
Finish
- Click Create workspace to save.
- Or click Cancel / Close to discard.
Community Edition organizations may be limited to a small number of workspaces. When the limit is reached, New Workspace is disabled until a workspace is removed.
Manage an existing workspace
From the row Actions menu:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Open workspace | Opens the workspace in a new tab |
| Edit workspace | Opens Edit workspace: Update workspace members and roles. Name and description cannot be changed after creation. Adjust members, roles, and apps, then Save changes. |
| Delete workspace | Opens Delete workspace? Type the workspace name to confirm, then Delete workspace. This permanently deletes the workspace and removes access for all members. This cannot be undone. |
