Aiden Chat
Aiden Chat is the home surface for conversational work in a workspace. Open it from the app rail by selecting Aiden Chat. From here you describe a task in natural language, mention agents or workflows, run slash commands, or start a suggested workflow.
Aiden routes each request to the right workflow or agent for the current workspace. The landing page states: Aiden 2.0 automatically finds the right workflow and agent for your request.
Aiden Chat is always on for the workspace. You cannot disable it in Workspace Settings → Apps. Optional apps such as Aiden for SRE and Aiden for DevOps appear next to Chat in the app rail when enabled.
Chat sidebar
| Control | What it does |

| Workspace name | Shows the active workspace. Use the workspace switcher in the header to change workspaces. |
| New Conversation | Opens a blank chat on the home landing page so you can start a fresh request. |
| Recent | Expand or collapse a short list of recent conversation titles. Click a title to reopen that thread. |
| View all | Opens the full conversation history list beyond the Recent preview. |
| Quick links → Workflows | Opens workspace workflows (same catalog you manage under Workspace Settings). |
| Quick links → Automations | Opens workspace automations. |
Start a conversation
- Select Aiden Chat in the app rail, or click New Conversation if you are already in Chat.
- In the Message field, describe the task you want Aiden to do.
- Optionally use the composer tools:
- Attach files (paperclip) to add files to the message.
- Mention or type
@to mention entities in the workspace. - Slash commands or type
/to open command suggestions.
- Click Send message (or press Enter) when the send control is enabled.
Placeholder text in the composer: Describe your task… (type @ to mention entities, / for commands).
Mentions (@)
Click Mention or type @ to open mention suggestions. Suggestions include workspace entities such as:
- Agents (for example SRE investigators, DevOps classifiers, or custom agents in the workspace)
- Workflows (named multi-stage workflows you can target directly)
- Integrations (connected tools such as GitHub, Datadog, Linear, AWS, and others configured for the workspace)
Select a suggestion to insert the mention into the message, then finish your request and send.
Slash commands (/)
Click Slash commands or type / to open slash command suggestions.

Suggested Workflows
Below the composer, Suggested Workflows lists workflows available in the workspace. Each card typically shows:
- Workflow name
- Ownership tag (for example Team)
- Short description
- Stage count
- Path of agents involved in the run
To use a suggestion:
- Review the cards for a match to your task.
- Click a card to start that workflow from Chat.
- Or type a free-form request in the message box and let Aiden choose the routing.
Suggested workflows are workspace-specific. What you see depends on the workflows published for your workspace.
After you send
When Aiden accepts the request, Chat opens an execution view where the response streams. You can continue the thread, return via Recent, or open View all for the full history.
