Create Custom Module Versions

Custom Module Versioning in StackGen allows you to manage multiple versions of a Custom Module, ensuring infrastructure changes are controlled, traceable, and reversible.

Features

  • Version History: Maintain a comprehensive record of all changes made to the resource, including metadata for tracking modifications.
  • Version Switching: You can switch between different versions directly within the Topology Canvas, allowing flexibility during deployment.

Example: When updating a custom API Gateway configuration:

  • Version 1: Basic routing rules.
  • Version 2: Added authentication mechanisms.

You can switch between these versions based on deployment needs. To update the resource, create a new version, as existing versions cannot be modified directly.
